The Urantia book

Heres how it happens.  One day you pick
up this big blue book in a store. Jacques said: I wont tell you about it. You have to read it and you'll understand.

"In the minds of the mortals on your planet"....

It's science fiction then. Of course, Jacques wanted me to read a science fiction book. I understand. Wow. It's first few pages are complicated. I'll  bite though. I keep reading, there's something really interesting here. It doesn't  appear to be science fiction. Then what is it?

I keep reading.  It gets into God in the second chapter. Aw, I have it,it's a person that wants to be another cult. Intriguing though.  It's really consistent in it's logic. Is it the scientologists? Maybe one of the strange hidden religions? Definitely a beautiful piece of fiction.

All these different beings, that are spelled out, all intertwined in a tapistry of the creation of a mind that is apparently a genius at envisioning these different places.

I'm about a third thtough the book. I can't  put the thing down. Its so attractive, this beautiful intertwined view of eternity and its contrast to time and space. And the exquisite hierarchy of people and places that I haven't seen anywhere before.

I'm halfway through and I begin to realize there's no way this was written by just one person. I'm beginning to wonder what group wrote this beautiful interplay of stories.

It can't be true. You can't trust some human beings. They always have agendas. They will make up stories if they believe they can use you.

Its consistency is overwhelming. If it was a group then, they must have wrote it over a long period of time. Getting all the facts together in such a deep intertwined view of eternity and time space has to take a huge amount of work.  It could be a hidden group that worked over a long period of time, working out all the minute details of the beings, places, feelings and realities.

2 1/2 months of doing nothing but reading. Im a 2/3 of the way through. My life is on hold. Everyone I know are telling me that I'm taking this book too seriously. They can't know, they just don't get this force that is the Urantia book.

Now its dawning on me. A huge overwhelming feeling has struck with a force so strong that I can no longer fool myself. This book is real. No human wrote it. The father of life exists and he has created magical places that are waiting for me. He did all of it so that I would experience the magnificence of life. I had to live on this lonely, lost planet so that I could experience the real power of what love means.

Now I  know.  Now, I will never be the same. For the rest of my life, I will live with the knowledge that eternity and the love of the children of the father has created vast worlds that took trillions upon trillions of eons to make. I am a son of the father now and my everyday life is seen through the lens of the true nature of life.

I know now that temporary troubles in places that have experienced rebellions like Earth do exist. Their confusions,  though, are short lived. They will one day shine with perfection.

Truth, real truth, has a way of weaving its way through to any human who is willing to hold on to hope. That we aren't alone in this vast outer space of trillions and trillions of rocky planets and stars.

We are loved. The father of life is real and we are his children.
