Trip to Paradise Tanslations

The trip to Paradise was basically done in one language, English.

So now, most of the trip can be viewed in 12 languages.

Having the sentence by sentence database opens so many possibilities. The translations arent perfect. They are, though, good enough to use.

The trip won't be done for quite a while but each day will bring it closer.

Arabian Translations done

 The Arabian translation is live.

So I've transferred the 600,000 mp3s to my VPS computer on the Internet. I won't erase the mp3 audio folder on my website till I'm sure everyone have cleared their cache.

If you arent aware of cache, thats where the stuff you've been looking at is saved temporarily on your machine so its faster and you dont have to download everything on the Internet from websites.

So if I've made a lot of changes to my website programs, you may be still using a cached program which is expecting the mp3s in the audio folder while the changes are using the VPS audio folder. So if I remove the folder on my website and the cache hasn't renewed, if I've removed the audio folder where the local cached programs expect it then your cached program will fail. Yuk

So yeah,  eventually you get to understand this stuff. Sometimes, if youre lucky, the AI will let you know.

Arabian Translation and vps

So by tomorrow or the next day, I'll have the Arabic translation finished.

But... I ran into a big problem. I have 3 websites. Using my 3 websites, I'm limited to 600,000 files. So 51,000 x 12 translations thats 612,000 mp3 files needed to use all of them. 600,000, thats my limit and thats with all my other files from all 3 of my websites.

So yeah. My limit was reached. How to get around the limitation. Well it happens to be I needed a VPS relay for something else. I forgot why. Anyway, thats an actual (VPS), that stands for virtual private server. That's a full on computer on the net that runs Linux Ubuntu. And it has no limitations to the amount of files I have on it. Its just limited by the memory, which happens to be 50 gigabytes. Since my mp3 sound  files take just above 40 gigabytes, I've got room to play with.

Now I'll need to set it up to use those mp3s from my website when the user needs them for the language reader. Very doable. The catch: It will take me 34 hours of non stop uploading to the VPS to get all the files copied.

So there it is, tomorrow, after I play music with my band, I'll finish the transfer and then remove all the audio files off of my Hostinger website system. Since I might do some more translations later on, I'll have room to spare.

Hindi Translation Complete

I'm uploading the mp3s for Hindi. It'll be done within the hour. The rest of the programs are ready for Hindi. The characters for Hindi are interesting. They take up more room than most languages.

Anyway, it's done. Now someone who speaks Hindi can learn 10 other languages while listening to the Urantia book, sentence by sentence.

When I go on my bike ride, I listen to the English/French sentence by sentence and I gotta say, it works really well. I understand most of what they are saying in French.

The Urantia book has a very sophisticated vocabulary, so it's a really good way to learn another language and at the same time, listening to the Urantia book.

Polish translation finished

 Its done

Last translation for a while. Spent 500.00 creating 10 translations using Google's translation system. 50.00 a translation. Pretty good deal.

Its not perfect but its good enough to learn 9 languages while reading the Urantia Book. Your own and 9 more.

I listen to it on my bike ride. Obviously I cant see the text while riding but its good enough to learn by.

Ive refreshed my French to the point where i understand most of what's being said. So it works. Hopefully I'll have other people using it.

Fixed a few problems throughout the Urantia world site.

Im taking a break now. Almost forgot, I have a few hours left on the personality tree.

The Personality Tree

Wow. What a difference the language databases make in the update of the tree of personalities. I can add in all the languages for several personalities in one sitting. That would have taken me a month to do.

I am completely blown away at just how powerful this creation of these sentence separated language databases. And along with each of those sentences, there are the same amount of mp3s as there are sentences. It completely changes what I'll be doing with the Urantia Book.

I can't wait to tackle other trees. For sure the evolutionary tracks of marine, plant, animal and human evolution journeys. When I do trees of those, I'll be adding in a progress bar based on time. Later, if  I  live that long, I would like to do Pangea and the north and south seas where they deposited the plasma.

Wow!

Polish Translation

I started the Polish Translation. Same as the others. A sentence by sentence translation of 50,000 sentences. Then I'll start creating the 50,000 mp3s that match each Polish sentence. It'll be done tomorrow at 3:30am.

Then I'll upload the database and the mp3s to my website. So midday tomorrow, the personalities and translation reader should be avaliable by midday.

After the Polish translation is done, I'll get back to my 3d controlling system based on my power plant program that took me 30 years to create. First up, the alarm system on my home doors and windows.

Chinese translation is done and ready

Chinese translation is ready and working in both the personalities application and the translation application.

A few problems cropped up with all the changes I've made. First, on smartphones, the text was covering part of the Sangik race flow sphere so I  placed a button at the top right that moves the text on and off the screen when  clicked.

Also, weird, the main entry in UrantiaWorld had a problem with the main buttons. They were partially covering one another. Fixed.

I still don't have a way of keeping the reading of the translations going on smartphones. So, in the middle of my bike ride,  the smartphone will just stop reading. It will take time to figure out to fix this problem.

Also changed the translation system so that when it's reading a  translation and it gets to the end of the paper, it will continue to the next paper instead of quitting.

Made it so that if you click on a word in the translation, it will show the other language word. I need to do something that explains words in the other chosen language because there's no way,  I'm going to learn Chinese or  Farsi or  Swahilli unless I have  a better explanation of the words. Where there's a will,  there has to be a way.

I'm slowly converting everywhere text is shown throughout the system,  it will use the 9 language databases. In the personalities form, i had individual mp3 sound files, that was laborious as I had to select pieces that related to the personalities by listening and copying the part of the audio that related. Oh man! Laborious. Using the sentences separated databases,  I can just tell it the numbers from and to, that explains the personality chosen.

I asked the AI to give me all the positions in the Urantia Book that related to the personalities and they could then be selected and listened to. BUT..... There are so many entries related to the Father of Life that it wouldn't work in the small  panel. I'll have  to spend some time thinking about how to  make that work.

Also I want to change the trip to Paradise to use the language databases.

So much to do.

German Translation

German translation is complete. Over 50,000 sentences and 50,000 mp3s. Currently passing all those up to my website. Theyll be available in an hour. That way anyone can learn German by listening to their native language and the next sentence in German.

Italian is being done and will ne ready by tonight. Portuguese is next. That'll be, I believe, 8 language translations. English, French, Swahili, Farsi, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian.

Italian is being done and will be ready in 16 hours. Then I'll start on Portuguese. Im guessing, maybe Polish, Chinese and the Asian languages.

Im also working on the personalities of the Grand Universe. Thatll take me a few days. When I’ve converted that program into using the new translation system, then those will automatically be available on all the new translations as im using paper/section/paragraph numbers saved in the translation databases so they can be accessed without any changes except the user who selects which language to learn and that will switch without programming changes to their language of choice.

Its been quite a month.

The power of organized translations

Now that I have English, Swahili, Farsi, French and Spanish translated sentence by sentence for the entire book, I'm currently doing German sentence by sentence. Tomorrow or the next day, I'll add Italian and then after that, Portuguese.

The thing is, now that I have these translations, I can do a lot of stuff differently. For instance, I've accomplished a few personalities in the application that has the personality form. The problem is, it's really difficult. First, I was taking the already translated languages and then literally separating sections for the personalities by listening to the audio breaks. Very laborious.

Now that I have full translations and the next 3 translations, I  have the capability of simplifying information related to each personality. That's because I have a direct connection between the text and the audio,  in every language.

What I'm going to do, is, instead of listening to audio and separating those audio sections, I can just pick the English database text and have a program that selects that information for those personalities and automatically use all the other 7 language translations. It simplifies everything.

So  here's the way I'm going to do the personality form. I will create a program that allows me to easily select the sections or sentences that relate  to that personality and click the add to that personality and then it's done, right then and there. And it automatically adds all the other languages. Oh man!!!!

But that is only the beginning. Selecting personality information and allowing the user to select and hear the information on that personality is one thing but the Urantia Book is a wealth of  information of other stuff.

For instance, I'm working on viewing the flow of races across a 3d world. That,  though, is  just a small part of the book. That's not done but it works for now.

I'll create a front end program with word  search capability. I should be able to create, with more ease, say, the different  evolutionary journeys of  marine life, plant life, animal life and human life.

And more. The idea here is to  simplify viewing the book in ways that, heretofore, we're virtually really difficult to do.  These sentence to  sentence databases affords me a real, definitive way to look into the Urantia book. Stuff like physical, mental, spiritual, personal ways of viewing the book. Interconnections that are really incredible.

Even using AI to ask questions of  the book has limitations,  while  viewing organized 3d or interconnected rectangles that jump to areas of the book and can be listened to. And above all, do it in all the languages that I've translated, automatically. Of course,  if other people who can't understand English should be able do the same thing in their own language. I believe I can make that happen.  That is, if anyone becomes interested in what I'm trying to accomplish.

The races of Urantia.

I've begun the migration of the all the races of  Urantia, on a 3d globe and in color. I'll do from the beginning 1,000,000 years ago to today. It will be a bit difficult and I will have to guess on a lot  of where they migrated and ended up.

So, yeah. It may be a lot  of  guesswork and I will try to have labels that show what is guesswork and what is not. If I get comments from people, I can change stuff until it has a higher level of confidence.

250,000 mp3s

The Urantia Book has 50921 sentences in the English language. So I've done about 50921 mp3s for each language, that's over 250,000 mp3s on my website waiting for someone to listen to the Urantia Book and learn a different language at the same time. Pretty nice.

There's French, the main reason I started this project, so I could relearn and practice my native language, and of course, English. Then Swahili, Farsi, done for friends of mine. Lastly, for the fifth language, Spanish,  since the Urantia Book is read in the Spanish language all over the world.

You can read some of these languages directly, as they are translated by people who've done the translations. So, what I've done doesn't replace their work as there's is, more accurate as the Google, Claude and ChapGpt translations just aren't as accurate as the human translations.

My friend, who did the Farsi language, is redoing his translation. He finds that all the large translation system, I mentioned above, make mistakes and he listens to all 3 and they help him considerably.

Anyway, there it is. 5 languages,  done and ready to be listened to, sentence by sentence, until you understand both languages. I'm probably getting 95% of what is being said in French. So after, I've mastered all the vocabulary of the Urantia Book in French, I'm going to listen to the Spanish version until I understand that.

It's not all wine and roses. I noticed a problem with the Swahili version. On titles that are uppercase, the mp3s spell out the words character by character. So I'll come back later when I do an update to the program, I'll add a routine that runs through the book and retranslates just the titles that have this problem. It's minor for now though, so it can wait. It doesn't stop the user from listening as it only occurs at the start of the paper and only on the title.

On the next version, I'll have the dropdowns change to their language so the form is in their language but for now, I'm going back to my 3d program. Also, I'm over 300.00 for these translations, so I'm going to wait till probably next month where I can absorb the cost and add more tranlations. It's over 50.00 for each translation and mp3 creation, actually, a pretty good deal for the ability to do this.

Making Progress

I've made a lot of changes. The system can be used to learn a language in English, French, Swahili, Farsi and soon today or tomorrow, Spanish. Next is German, then Portuguese and later, Chinese etc.

I've added a few things that help  me a lot. Resuming where I left  off, starting randomly somewhere in the book. The Help system is getting pretty good. Visitors can leave their email and name and I hide that list from prying eyes.

All the languages are spelled out. Instead of fr,  I  show French. I have the title of the papers now able to be selected instead of just paper numbers. You can now select a word and it'll show the 2nd language word. That's not perfectly accurate but it does work properly most of the time. I could of numbered every word and have the translator work through word by word translation but I would have to retranslate everything. Instead of 50.00,  it would be 100.00 for each translation. Maybe later. As of this writing it's pretty accurate.

Also, the translations aren't perfect. A friend of mine, who translated the Farsi translation told me that he is redoing his Farsi translation and is using all 3 translators, Google, Chat Gpt and Claude. He finds imperfections in all but they are very helpful in his current re-translation. Pretty cool.  He agreed, it isn't as significant that it be perfect or as good as a human translator as long as it works as a learning platform. He agrees and thought the program was impressive. Nice. Thanks guy.

Anyway, I think after the Spanish translation is done, I'm going to go back to my automation program, at https://halcreator.com/, for a while.
